Spring is in the air, and no place is that more true than The Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, Okla. Ree Drummond and her team have embraced the season and have been busy at work to keep things fresh.
Here’s a look at what’s new at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile for the spring of 2020.
The new Pioneer Woman Mercantile breakfast menu
Breakfast includes some old favorites like the Cattleman’s Breakfast and the Farmer’s Breakfast. But there are some changes too. For instance, the Egg-in-a-Hole is no longer on the menu. But don’t fret, two new breakfast sandwiches are in its place and they look delicious: a Ham, Egg & Green Chili sandwich as well as Ree’s Favorite Breakfast Sandwich. Here’s the first page of the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile breakfast menu:
Blueberry White Chocolate Pancakes are new at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile
When we saw Blueberry White Chocolate Pancakes on page two of the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile breakfast menu, we almost stopped reading. How good does that sound? But we kept reading long enough to see that Edna Mae’s Pancakes are still available as are all of the bakery favorites we’ve all come to know and love. And no worries coffee lovers, you can still get a Cowboy Coffee or a Spicy Cowgirl. Check out the second page of the menu:

The new Pioneer Woman Mercantile lunch/dinner menu
Everyone can take a deep breath: you can still satisfy your cravings for Queso Dip & Chips and Olive Cheese Bread at The Merc. But you can also try some new items like Sticky Pork Lettuce Wraps and Parmesan Garlic Fries. But wait, there’s more! There is now a whole section on the menu offering a bunch of different salads. Needless to say, we can’t wait to explore this page of the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile menu for ourselves.
Quesadillas are back on the menu at the Merc! And there’s a new jalapeño bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich that simply looks divine! But don’t think that everything has changed. The Cowboy Steak Dinner, Chicken Parmesan, and the best Chicken Fried Steak we’ve ever had are all still available. Here’s the second page of the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile lunch and dinner menu:
One other item to note about the new Pioneer Woman Mercantile menu: Iced tea and lemonade are still just $0.25. Is there any other place in the country that does this?
Pro tip:
If you’re planning to visit the Mercantile, remember that the lunch and dinner menus are the same. If you’re there around lunchtime and have flexible plans, know that you can go explore the town and then come back later on in the day and you’ll have an opportunity to try the same food at dinner as you would have had at lunch. The only difference? Often, there is a far shorter wait. Just one more reason to stay in Pawhuska.
A newly refinished floor at The Mercantile
Also, for those of you who have visited The Merc before: the floor in the restaurant section has been completely stripped and refinished giving the space a beautiful new, look. With that, the seating arrangements have been altered a bit, so you’d better just plan to come back and take it all in. Here’s a photo we snapped from outside as the refinishing was taking place.
What’s new at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile for shoppers
The tables and shelves at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile are filled with colorful, flowery finds this spring. We saw lots of new Pioneer Woman insulated lunch totes in a variety of colors. We like that they come with a small pouch inside, as well as a matching water bottle. There are several different sizes, designs and colors to fit everyone’s taste.
Some new speckled kitchen items also caught our eye. These metal cylinders, pitchers, and spoons come in a variety of colors, but we especially liked the ones in teal in case you were wondering what to get Ann for her birthday. We also saw items from this line in red, blue, yellow, and black.
There are still lots of options for Mercantile and Drummond Ranch hats. These make a great souvenir from your visit to Pawhuska! Also worth mentioning are the new gingham zippered bags (below). They come in three sizes and we bought several because they will be great for travel. The insides are super cute; some even have a flower design or polka dots.
New for Easter at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile
Looking for a soft cuddly rabbit or the best egg timer for Easter anywhere? Look no further than The Merc. So many cute options, including adorable salt and pepper shakers.
The popular teal beads, long a staple of The Merc, are well stocked and there are tons of new clothing items for spring lining the racks. We also noticed an even wider variety of jewelry, as well.
Kitchen accessories new at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile
There are lots of new Pioneer Woman branded kitchen accessories, as well, including basting brushes, corkscrews, and white citrus juicers. The flowered ceramic rolling pins with display base are also back this spring at The Mercantile.
New at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile Bakery
The Mercantile Bakery now offers some gluten free options, as well. The raspberry white chocolate pound cake looks delish! New this spring are yummy looking hand pies. When we were there in March 2020, they had s’mores flavor (with toasted marshmallow on top) and a raspberry lemon pie that was so tempting.
There are also lots of new baking accessories for spring on the second floor of The Mercantile, so don’t forget to check those out. If you’re not able to walk up the stairway to the second floor, there is an elevator near the restrooms you can use.
New at The Pioneer Woman’s lodge on Drummond Ranch
Ree and Ladd have opened a bunch of dates for you to visit The Lodge on Drummond Ranch this spring. The Lodge is the family’s guest house which also serves as the production location for Ree’s Food Network show. Tickets are free, and no advance reservation is required. Check The Mercantile website for available dates and additional information. If you find an open date that works for you, simply pick up your ticket the day you’d like to visit from any cashier at The Mercantile. There is no limit on the number of tickets issued.
There are lots of new flower arrangements and touches of spring throughout The Lodge.
We hope this taste of spring in Pawhuska entices you to come visit our town. How do I find out prices on kitchen wares
We’d suggest visiting the Mercantile’s website: https://www.themercantile.com
Had the “Steak Salad” the first time I was there. Second time I was there it had disappeared. This was a great meal option for someone on a low carb way of eating. (Me)
